Plant a Row ● Grow a Row Harvest

    gr-pargar_logo1

Grow Regina has made arrangements with the Food Bank to send a driver to pickup produce at YARA-GRCG on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, based on demand. You are welcome to use the green crates against the garden shed on the south side of the garden.

The final vegetable harvest collection day at YARA-GRCG is on September 26th from 8:00 a.m to 10:30 a.m. for donation to the Regina Food Bank.

We encourage all non-profit organizations, church congregations and/or store outlets interested in collecting fresh fruits and vegetables, to contact Grow Regina to have a Plant a Row • Grow a Row (PAR•GAR) green bin dropped off at your location.  The The Regina Food Bank is willing to send a driver to your location on a scheduled basis to pick up the fresh produce.*

The Regina Food Bank will also receive donations directly at their warehouse located at 445 Winnipeg Street (Hours of Operation - 8am - 5pm.) Please mention that the donation is part of the Plant a Row • Grow a Row (PAR•GAR) program so that the Food Bank will weigh and record the donation.  Grow Regina would like to measure the success of our first year and ongoing! * Important: Although we previously promoted that Plant a Row • Grow a Row (PAR•GAR) green bins would be located at your local grocery stores, like the blue Food Bank bins, Grow Regina has decided not to encourage participants to take fresh food into the food stores. It has also been brought to my attention that the Fire Stations only encourage  food donations be brought to them during their Fall Food Drive Campaign.

If you require more information, please call 352-4813 to leave a message.
