Annual Fall BBQ: September 26, 2009

    yara-grcg-in-2008-29

Grow Regina will be hosting the Annual Fall BBQ on September 26, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at YARA-GRCG in the St. Mark’s parking lot near the garden shed.

Hotdogs/hamburgers and a soda will be available at a cost of $2 per person and FREE for children under the age of 12.

Gardeners are invited to bring their friends and family to enjoy the day and tour the gardens. Everyone is welcome to bring a salad, watermelon or other complementary dish. Don’t forget to bring a picnic blanket or chair.

Remember, this is the final Plant a Row • Grow a Row (PAR•GAR) harvest collection day at YARA-GRCG for vegetable donations to The Regina Food Bank.  A Food Bank truck will be on site to collect the vegetable donations from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; however, if you have vegetables ready to harvest now, arrangements have been made with the Food Bank to pickup produce at YARA-GRCG on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons based on demand. You are welcome to use the green crates against the garden shed on the south side of the garden. If you require more information, please call 352-4813 to leave a message.

Grow Regina members are encouraged to complete their fall garden cleanup prior to Thanksgiving in keeping with the YARA-GRCG Garden Guidelines.
