    Ruth M. Buck School Planting Day

    Composting

    Composting is Nature’s way of recycling. Composting decomposes and transforms organic material into a soil-like product called humus. When the composting process is complete, regardless of the system used, the finished product is a valuable soil amendment.     City of Regina Tinsel Mulch and Wood Chips: May 30, 2009

    Cathedral Arts Festival: May 23, 2009

    On May 23, 2009, Grow Regina volunteers promoted Plant a Row•Grow a Row (PAR•GAR) program at the Cathedral Arts Festival  on 13th Avenue.     Water Turned On!

    The City of Regina has turned the water on at the Yara-Grow Regina Community Garden.
    The garden hoses will be available by May 23rd.  Otherwise, ask if the garden shed near St. Mark’s parking lot is open.

    Rototilling Finished!

    Rototilling is completed and water will be turned on soon!
    Overall the rototilling was successful, however, some minor damage to a few edging boards occurred and will have to be replaced.
    Gardeners are asked to help rake the dirt off the paths left over from rototilling.  Rakes are available at the garden sheds.
